A really nice review from Toronto

This was just posted today on CHARTattack following the Toronto screening of Color Me Obsessed at NXNE. Here’s an excerpt:

“And while two straight hours of listening to people talk about The Mats might sound like a special kind of torture for those who aren’t fans of the Minneapolis cult heroes, the film is a shockingly refreshing and invigorating experience for anyone who has ever cared about any kind of music at all. In essence, Color Me Obsessed is a love letter to music.”

89.3 The Current Names May 4th Replacements Day

The Twin Cities’ completely awesome public radio station, 89.3 The Current, has named Wednesday, May 4 “Replacements Day” to help celebrate the Minneapolis premier of Color Me Obsessed. On that day, they’ll be playing Replacements songs every hour throughout that day. They’ll also be interviewing Gorman on their morning show (you can listen to their stream live here. If you’re not from the Twin Cities area, it is a seriously good radio station, so by all means check it out). In the meantime, they’ve put up a Placemats quiz, a poll where you can vote for your favorite ‘Mats’ LP, an online entry form to win a CD reissue of one the Replacements’ last records, as well as information about the Minneapolis screenings (there’s three of them now. You can find the details here) and the after party at the 7th Street Entry. You can find all of that here. See you at the screenings!

Hell’s Half Mile

We’re pleased to announce that Color Me Obsessed will be screening at this year’s Hell’s Half Mile in Bay City, Michigan. More details to follow.

Boston Screening

Advance sales for the Boston screening of Color Me Obsessed have sold out. There will be rush tickets available at the door (which means if you plan on purchasing rush tickets, you should probably get there as early as possible).
