Only 1 Original Grant Hart Drawing Left

We’re down to the last three days of our Kickstarter drive and as of now there’s only one original Grant Hart drawing left, so if you’ve had your eye on it and been putting off taking the plunge, now’s the time to do so. Also still available are some associate and executive producer credits, dinner with Grant and the crew in Minneapolis, and the opportunity to sit in on the editing process or be a production assistant for a day, along with posters, DVDs and stickers. If you haven’t already, check out our Kickstarter page here, and if you’ve already donated, many, many, many thanks!

New “Every Everything” Teaser is up

We’re still putting together screenings for CMO but right now our focus is turned to our new film, “Every Everything: The Music, Life & Times of Grant Hart.” If you haven’t yet, go check out our Kickstarter page. We’re about $8,000 short of our goal right now with 11 days to go in the campaign, so if you’re able to help us we’d very much appreciate it. You can also watch a new teaser for the movie here, using footage that we shot with Grant earlier this month in New Haven.

Every Everything: The Music, Life & Times of Grant Hart

Though we aren’t finished screening Color Me Obsessed around these here States, we are pleased and proud to announce our brand new music documentary, Every Everything: The Music, Life & Times of Grant Hart. As I’m sure most of you realize, Grant Hart was the drummer, singer, and co-songwriter of The Replacements principle competition in the Twin Cities, Hüsker Dü. Along with the Mats, the Hüskers blazed a trail and created the template that nearly every guitar-based band after them would follow (and which some of whom, like Nirvana, would get credit for creating themselves). In addition to being one of the most influential musicians of the last thirty years, Grant is also an accomplished visual artist, working in both fine and graphic arts. The film, Every Everything will be told entirely through the words of Grant Hart, and will cover everything from his early influences, to his time in Hüsker Dü, to his obsessions with Marcel Duchamp and Studebakers and on through his work today — in short, everything: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Below you can find a link to our Kickstart page where we’re raising money to fund the film. Check it out — there are some truly amazing rewards for any fan of Grant, Hüsker Dü, the Twin Cities music scene, or just punk rock in general (such as personalized line drawings by Grant Hart himself, the chance to sit in on the editing process or be part of the film crew for a day, dinner in Minneapolis with Grant and the crew, the opportunity to get your name in the opening credits as an Executive or Associate Producer — and the list goes on). And if you like what you see, please be sure to post this anywhere and everywhere fellow music fans might see it. Thanks!
